Essential Oils

 
Bergamot
  The oil is a greenish /yellow liquid with fresh, clear, lively odor, somewhat fruity and sweet.
 
Cedarwood
  Oil derived from the many varieties of Cedarwood is one of the major building blocks in the fragrance industry.
 
Cinnamon
  Common name for several related trees of the Lauracea family, and for a spice made from the dried bark of the trees.
 
Frankincense
  Known around the world simply as incense, boswellia carteri has been in use since antiquity.
 
Mimosa
  The mimosa is a member of the legume family with a pod similar to peas and lentils.
 
Narcissus
  Narcissus Oil can be obtained from several species of the Narcissus flower: Narcissus poeticus, N. tazetta, and N. jonquilla.
 
Neroli
  This modest tree is the source of more than twelve fragrances or flavor-related by-products.
 
Patchouli
  This essential oil, when used as a perfume ingredient, is usually diluted with attar of roses and dissolved in rectified spirit, and is used in very minute quantities due to its potency.
 
Rosewood
  This oil is steam distilled from the chipped wood of Aniba Rosaeodora.
 
Sandalwood
  The essential oil is found in the heartwood and in the roots of mature Sandalwood trees.
 
Tagetes
  This oil is produced from the Tagetes Glandulifera.
 
Vanilla
  The main production areas today are in Madagascar, Indonesia, Mexico, Tahiti, Europe and the United States.
 
Vetiver
  It is true that oil is an important ingredient in perfumery, but it is not as well known as Vetiveria Zizanoides, vetiver grass, the most important and most famous grass in the world.
 
Violet
  The Violet is a medium size flowering plant that has had a long history of use, both for medical conditions and for producing fragrances.
 
Ylang Ylang
  It sounds like a children's game or a toy. It's not, but it is one of the most important essential oils used in perfumes.
