Tamara Mellon, the shoe guru comes to rescue the"Head over heels" iconic perfume and cosmetic company.

Tamara Mellon the Latest addition to the Revlon board of directors was born in London and began her career at Phyllis Walters Public Relations, Mirabella, and followed as accessories editor for British Vogue in 1990.

With a strong heritage in fashion and business, from both her mother a former Chanel model and her father a successful entrepreneur, she co- founded Jimmy Choo Company in 1996. Tamara secured funding for the creation of her business, and sourced factories in Italy. In addition, she set up an office in Italy to handle production, quality control and shipping. By 2001, Jimmy Choo had over 100 wholesale clients such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman.
She recently took an active role at Halston the couture and perfume house and will now be one of the Revlon board of director.
After five years married to the heir of the Mellon Family Taylor Mellon III she divorced in May 2000. She currently resides in Chelsea and is dating American actor Christian Slater.
